North Hills School District

Tower Engineering is currently providing mechanical and electrical engineering services for renovations/additions to three of the North Hills School District’s elementary schools. These projects are part of a district reorganization which will result in four comparable elementary schools with estimated enrollments of 500-550 each.

Construction was recently completed at McIntyre Elementary School. This project consisted of renovation of the existing 31,588 s.f. school and an addition of 44,805 s.f. The scope of work included a new entry with greater visibility; expansion and renovation of the cafeteria; a new multi-purpose room with a large stage area, storage facility, and bleacher seating for events; additional classrooms; construction of a new library with a computer work area, library classroom instruction area and an adjacent computer lab; a new art room with storage and display areas; a new band and choral room with direct access to the new multi-purpose room presentation area; and new building systems. Total construction costs were $13.8 million.

The Highcliff Elementary School project is currently under construction and includes renovations to the existing 28,554 s.f. building and an addition of 45,664 s.f. Total construction costs for this project are estimated at $12 million.

Design of Ross Elementary is underway. Construction costs are estimated at $22 million. This project involves the complete renovation of the existing school, and a small addition, totaling 101,400 s.f.
